Story: The Villa Favolosa

In the small hamlet of Montaldo di Mondovi in the Piedmont region of Italy resides Villa Favolosa. Wedged within an Italian neighborhood along a mountainous road the bed & breakfast consists of 5 guest rooms, 2 with queen beds and 3 with twin beds. The property has been in the family of the proprietor for generations and recently completed a three-year renovation. The grand opening occurred in July 2008. While the decor is minimal, the large bathrooms are afforded with modern conveniences and the spacious bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TV's and views of the surrounding hillsides. The feel is very much that of an Italian neighborhood. Families stroll along the cobbled road in front of the inn while children play nearby. If you speak Italian, the neighbors are quick to engage you in conversation. Even if you don't speak the language neighbors are curious to get to know you. The villa is located some 20 minutes from the city of Mondovi, an hour and a half south of Turin (Torino) or 3 hours southwest of Milan.
