With all the wonderful places in Acadia, it is hard to chose just one location to write about.

The Bubbles

The Bubbles

Acadia National Park, The Bubbles mountains (or should I say hills).

Acadia National Park is located next to Bar Harbor, Maine. Scenery, hiking, biking, canoeing, and camping is high on everyone’s reason to go to one of the most beautiful of America’s National Park system. And then there are those beautiful granite bridges everywhere in the park. The entire park is wonderful, but Jordan Pond area continues to draw me back.

The trail system throughout Acadia is one of the best marked system that I have seen. For families, the Jordan Pond Loop Trail is a family event. It is an easy, 1.5 mile loop around the pond that takes about 45 minutes. The water is so clear that you can see to the bottom. On my last trip, I finally saw a Loon very near the shore.

Walking around Jordan Pond, you can see “The Bubbles”, Pemetic and Penobscot Mountains, and even stop in for tea and popovers at the Jordan Pond House.
