You can think this is silly, but photographing some little details will help you to have great memories of your traveling experiences!

This is a famous postcard of Natal, RN, Brazil, at the Ponta Negra beach. It's called the "Bald Dune" or "Morro do Careca".

1. Food.
When you travel you find out that food is so different around the world. Photograph food markets, restaurants, your breakfast, your lunch, your dinner. Usually hotels have those delicious breakfasts, so don’t miss the opportunity. You can see at markets those piles of colorful things that would be perfect framed.

2. People.
Take photos of yourself with locals. It’s funny and beautiful to see later. Respect people, ask for permission, and good luck. People are also so different around the world. I mean it, you have no idea of how different and amazing we all can be.

3. Postcard places.
Manage to visit all the famous places you can when traveling somewhere. Photograph them all. If you’re not rich enough to travel to and when you’d like, don’t miss opportunities. Probably it will take a long time to visit a far place again. And if you ever do that, remember that places, people and yourself change continuously.
I usually buy postcards in local stores to put at my trips’ albums also.

4. Not only postcard places.
Explore places. Don’t go with the crowd. Besides postcard places, find cool things and details.

5. Flowers.
Believe it or not, it’s almost impossible to find tulips in my country. It means that there are probably flowers you’ve never heard of in many places you may go.

6. Animals.
Yes, they are different too! There are no polar bears and squirrels in Brazil, except at the zoos, and I’ve heard that there are no monkeys in Alaska.

7. Your feet.
It’s funny to see where you walk. Look for patterns, sand, whatever!

8. Your hotel’s room and your room’s window view.
Come on, beautiful or not, they are not your home.

9. Souvenir.
You’ll not always find interesting taking home that exotic and giant piece of art. And not always you’ll have money enough to buy all the souvenir people try to sell you, so: photograph them. You’ll bring them home and they won’t disturb your decoration nor will need room for them.

10. Stores.
Lots of different and colorful things. And objects you’ve never seen before. What else a photographer need? Ask for permission and bring a photo of them home too.

11. Signs.
They will help you later to remember the names of the places and where the related photos were taken.

Very nice list. I love photographing my food, and people think that it's weird, but I love remembering the places that I ate at!

Great list of suggestions. I always try to photograph the people, scenery, flowers and everything else new and different when I am out traveling.
