With only a few hours in Glasgow, I wasn't quite sure what to see. After briefly considering one of those double decker bus tours, I instead opted to use my own two feet. I headed to the closest "tourist site" to my hotel: the Glasgow Cathedral. I was rewarded when the cloud cover broke just at sunset and bathed the cathedral and nearby trees in a rich, warm glowing light. The nearby necropolis, final resting place for over 50,000 souls, was an unexpected opportunity to explore and photograph acres of a surreal 'city of the dead'.
