Photo Essay: Yellowstone National Park

My journey to the Yellowstone National Park started from Salt Lake City in Utah although the park mostly belongs to Wyoming. It took about 6 hours to drive up north to the park from Salt Lake City. Before entering into Yellowstone from the South Gate, I first visited the Grand Teton National Park, which is also amazing with beautiful lakes and lofty peaks. The movie Brokeback Mountain is said to be shot nearby. As the 1st national park in the America established in 1872, Yellowstone is home to some of the most breathtaking and beautiful natural wonders, including mud volcanoes, hot springs, steam vents, rivers, water falls, grand canyon, etc. It also abounds in a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. What impressed me most was, however, the geysers. The most well-known geyser in Yellowstone, or even in the world, is, of course, the Old Faithful, which is interesting with constant and predictable eruptions but not really that extraordinary. My favourite geyser basins are West Thumb and Midway, where you find crystal clear water with the stunning aqua colour. They are absolutely photogenic and Lomolicious as you see in my pictures!
