Coming Soon: Everywhere Issue 02

CIMG6257.JPG Sorry for the long pause on our end, but it's been quiet on this blog because of all the work we've been doing to get Issue 02 of Everywhere shipped off to the printer. Tonight! At last! The photo above shows how Issue 02 looks now that it's all laid out on our office floor.

There have been lot of long nights along the way, but now we're just a few hours from our deadline, and I've got to say, the magazine looks really, really, really good. There's a wonderful Los Angeles cover photograph by Jean-Baptiste Duprieu, and a few contributors are already in the running for a place in the Everywhere Hall of Fame. (This means you, Gijs Bekenkamp, Andrew Gibson, Shannon Dagher, and Sloan Schang!) The magazine will be available for one and all to read in just a few weeks, yet in the meantime, you should definitely check out Issue 01, which still available at major bookstores, newsstands, and in digital form here.

After catching up on some sleep, the activity on this blog will pick up again as we prepare for Issue 03. (HINT: Ever been to Miami? Or Copenhagen?) Stay tuned, but for now, thanks to all of you for all the fantastic contributions that made Issue 02 possible.

fogcity.jpg If you're in San Francisco on Friday, and if you happen to find yourself downtown during lunchtime, we invite you to come on down to Fog City News to meet the Everywere editorial team and all the other folks at 8020 Publishing who help make the magazine possiblw.

I'll be on hand to answer any questions you might have about Everywhere, the everywheremag.com website, and how you can maximize your chances of getting your submissions into print. Sadly, during this event I will NOT be able to accept questions on any of the following topics: molecular biology, string theory, global equity markets, or quantum computing. But if you want to learn more about Everywhere, or regale me with tales about your exotic travels, I'll be all yours!

Our friend Adam Smith from Fog City News (shown above) has graciously offered to host this event. FCN is a fantastic independent newsstand that's been very supportive of us from the start, so we're very grateful for this opportunity. He also sells lots of and lots of delicious chocolate, so come on down to say hello!

WHAT: Everywhere magazine Meet n' Greet
WHEN: Friday, January 11, 2007, 12 noon to 2 pm
WHERE: Fog City News, 455 Market Street @ First, San Francisco (Map)

Hope to see you there!

Issue 01 Preview

When we started Everywhere, we knew it had to be a printed magazine. There's just nothing like it; the joy of holding it in your hands, the way photos look on paper, showing it off on your coffee table. We know that when you see the real thing in your hands, you'll get truly inspired to travel. We also know that this magazine looks best in print, which is why we aren't afraid to put all of the stories and photos online. But you helped make it, and we want to give you a chance to see what this magazine is all about — and how you can contribute to upcoming issues.

Now you can click through every single page of the first issue of Everywhere, right in your Interweb browser. Or you can download the entire issue as a full-size PDF. Either way, we hope you'll like what you see, and we think experiencing the magazine in all of it's oversized, printed glory is just unbeatable. To have it delivered to you, subscribe here!
