Sadly, the historic and cherished Yankee Stadium will close its doors at the end of the 2008 baseball season.  And we'd like to thank Everywhere member Mike Mostransky, for helping us and our community pay tribute and a fond farewell to this iconic stadium. Mike inspired loads of Everywhere contributors to upload baseball stadium pics from around the country, with his article Final Innings for Yankee Stadium.

The result has been a fantastic rush of amazing stadium shots from all over the place. And we couldn't have been happier! Thanks Mike!

Yankee stadium has been around for 86 years and will be turned into a museum. The new stadium, which will also be called Yankee Stadium, is in the process of being built right across the street and will have its grand opening in time for the 2009 season.
