Alice’s travelogue

Jump in, come on!

Jump in, come on!

Here we can see hhow sheeps are pick-up and put in the right fence.

On the go!

On the go!

Running down in a mess and crazy way: the travel is near its end also this year.

Gathering together the thousands sheeps for the last run.

Sheepherds and sheep dogs are at work to collect the herd before starting the last slope.

Down there you have to go!

This wonderful valley is a paint. My shots are not able to describe it as it deserves.

Sheep dog at work!

Sheep dog at work!

Sheep dogs are amazing. They are much more little than an adult sheep but they have the control! No sheep can escape their attention!

Sheepherds.

Sheepherds.

A little bit of relax for them too before the last running!

Group shot!

Just an example of the variety I met!

A little rest at the middle of the run! After descending through the glacier sheeps stop where the valley offer a perfect point to just being normal animal at pasture!

Are you looking at me?!

Are you looking at me?!

At the end of the long travel, sheeps are send into fences where each owner go to pic-up its animals. The coloured stripes on the sheeps' back allowed the right recognition!

Alice Dalla Stella

Alice Dalla Stella has been a member since 10 January 2008 and goes by Aelica.

Currently in Italy.

I am a dreamer! I started to take pictures as a joke,it became a passion.
Taking pictures is a way to look at the world, a kind of "seeing in pictures"...I do this. My photos are often moved or unfocused and sometimes even silly: in each case they are my feelings. I am not a professional photographer at all, I just try to stop little pieces of life.
