Downtown Osaka, as seen from the outdoor observation desk atop the Umeda Sky Building. Nighttime illumination recedes as far as the eye can see, in virtually every directon. It's amazing just how quiet the city really is up here.

Afternoon haze, and the Golden Gate Bridge as Max Zorin must surely have seen it. Sadly, however, my excursion didn't involve a blimp.

Despite the picture-perfect weather, it was actually blisteringly cold at the top of the bridge, where the wind-chill factor is much more pronounced than at sea-level. But the cold didn't spoil the fun one bit.

St. Mary's Cathedral

St. Mary's Cathedral

Although it's not obvious from ground-level, the cathedral is in the shape of a cross when viewed from the sky.

Unassuming on the outside, deliciousness on the inside.

I am a former- and future-Tokyoite, and a designer here at Everywhere. I think that no city is too big, no coffee is too cold, and no music is too minimal. I have a particular fondness for bourbon, uneven numbers, and taking photos of power lines. This is a test.
