This is high tide, of course. There is a big difference between high and low tide at North Myrtle Beach because the slope of the beach into the ocean is very gradual. During low tide, then, room is plentiful.
Fall brings an abundance of color to Craggy Gardens. These bright red leaves line the trail to the top of Craggy Pinnacle.
Craggy Pinnacle stands over 6,000 feet. This is the view from the top when looking west. The red plants seen are bunches of red berries called mountain ash.
This was taken while standing at the halfway point, looking toward the observation deck.
Dawn is a whole new experience in the Great Smoky Mountains.
