The world famous Cadillac Ranch (1974) is located on the South Frontage Road between Arnot Road (I-40 exit 60) on Hope Road. Basically when you get close to Armarillo, Texas start looking for this...Restored in 2002 with many newer tires. Hard to believe people stole tires but whatever...This was created by The Ant Farm for millionaire Stanley Marsh 3. There are ten Cadillacs (1949-1963) buried nose down in the Texas panhandle at the same angle as the great pyramids. Go see these classic tail finned caddys....you will never forget.
A diamond in the rough (for me) in rural Minnesota. I was a passenger in a the car with a friend and out of the corner of my eye this came into my view. After slamming on the brakes and walking down a gravel road this is what I saw. Amidst the mosquito's, tall grass and humidity stood what looks like a farm-hand house or quarters. There was a bed (springs anyway) and some other remnants that lead me to believe it was inhabited at some point. Just a long time ago...
A long abandoned but still standing manufacturing plant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the wake of technology and manufacturing being shipped somewhere else....What is left behind is what a photographer of urban ruin dreams of...garbage and lots of it. This was created ALL IN CAMERA using red and green gelled strobes and lots of patience.
This was captured before the impending storm in New Mexico along Route 66. I was actually looking to purchase more Polaroid film and got lost in a loop on HWY40? I eventually found more Polaroid Spectra film at the Walgreens near here. This was an impressive storm...
The back side pass in Mesa Verde National Park, CO. The forest was destroyed by lightning years prior. On July 15, 2003 at approximately 5:30 pm a dry thunderstorm cell passed over Mesa Verde with multiple lightning strikes. Due to extreme drought conditions, fuel moisture and record breaking high temperatures, a series of small fires erupted along southern ridgetops in the park and on Ute Mountain Ute Indian Reservation. By Wednesday morning an estimated 400 acres were burning. Park visitors and employees were evacuated by 7:30 p.m.
This is a wonderful sculpture located in Berwyn, Illinois. Sadly, in the coming month will be torn apart and replaced with a Walgreens. Now that is progress. This is happening far too much. All that is unique in the U.S. is being replaced with more commerce. I would give the link to save the spindle but alas its far too late...

I am reintroducing myself to my passion of photography....I stashed it away for numerous tough years after losing my parents. I have returned with a new spirit and vigor. Taking both a love of manual and digital camera's as far as my imagination can wander. I don't pretend to know a lot of technical information but make up for it trying to learn something new. I love all subjects but give me an abandoned building or roadway and I will come back hours later....
