This is a "motor inn" across the street from my building. A lot of tours stay there. I imagine this couple is on one of them.

West Beach

West Beach

West Beach is "the other" beach in Santa Barbara. It's where people launch their sail boats and wind surfing equipment. Because of all the activity, it's a great place for people watching, but if you doze off, you may get run over.

A Man and His Dogs

A Man and His Dogs

Sunrise in the Santa Barbara Channel.

Slips in the harbor in Santa Barbara, California are at a premium -- people either inherit them, buy a boat that already has a slip, or wait years for an opening to come up. Others choose to just drop anchor in what's known as Fools' Anchorage and take their chances when the winter storms come in. This fellow is from Fools Anchorage and is going back to his boat. The shot was taken from Stearns Wharf.
