The Shiva Linga (Shiva=Lord Shiva, Linga=prostrate) is worshipped in the Indian subcontinent; especially by the young women aspiring for a good husband.
Each wall carved here narrates a story of its own. The figure in the centre here depicts one of the myriad forms of Lord Shiva from the Indian Mythology, the Ardhanareshwar (Ardha=half, nareshwar=God). The God here is shown with a body that is half of a male's and half female's.

Nagaon is the best getaway from the hustle and bustle of the crowded city of Mumbai, take my word for it! Not having been explored by many, makes it a calm stretch of nearly 6 kms of sea coast. All that your eye would catch is the vastness of the sea; & not a soul around! The best deal if you want a break from the crowded beaches. Just catch a ferry from the Gateway to Mandwa, & get local transport to Nagaon (about 90 mins drive). Try it on a week day if you can ;)
Located on the waterfront in South Mumbai (Bombay, India), The Gateway of India was "Erected to commemorate the landing in India of their imperial majestics King George V and Queen Mary on the second of December MCMXI." (This's the message inscribed on the monument.)
This is also where one can take a ferry trip to the nearby attractions; the most popular ones being the Elephanta Caves and Alibaug.
