Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge
Bosque is rightfully famous for the amazing amount of birds that arrive in the early fall and spend the winter. Up to 3/4 of the Rocky Mountain population of Sandhill Cranes come here along with tens of thousands of Snow Geese and other waterfowl.
Upper Yosemite Falls
Upper Yosemite falls is the seventh highest waterfall in the world, or part of the third highest if the lower fall is included.
The Very Large Array
The famous radio telescope array in the New Mexico desert that many people have seen in the movie Contact. It is used primarily for radio astronomy to view radio emitting objects like quasars, supernovas, black holes, and cosmic radiation.
