It's difficult to fathom the immense size of the Eiffel Tower unless you've been there. I wanted to capture a sense of scale by including the ant-like crowd below.

My take on a Paris Landmark
World Trade Center memorial done each year (to date) on the anniversary of 9/11 at the former location of the Twin Towers.
I intentionally shot wide to capture the immensity of the beams. The single cloud makes this particular version of this image special, as it adds a subject to the picture that the viewer can connect with.
Like an ink blot test, the cloud is interpreted a variety of ways. Some people see the spirits of those lost, others see an explosion, while other see doves of peace etc.
This is a personal favorite of mine.
This lighthouse has been photogrpahed a million times, but most of those photos all look alike to me: just plain, 'pretty' shots. I wanted to put a new spin on it, and create something unique.
