Presidents Race, Washington Nationals Park
The Presidents Race occurs in the middle of the 4th inning of every Washington Nationals home game at Nationals Park.
Large costumed runners dressed as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Teddy Roosevelt race towards a makeshift finish line near home plate.
Since the race began in 2006, Teddy Roosevelt has never won, despite having tried to cheat on several occasions. This has led to a "Let Teddy Win" movement among loyal Washington Nationals fans, who protest via cheers and signs rooting for Teddy, and through web sites such as Blog.LetTeddyWin.com.
