See You in March 2008

The Circus Drive-In on Route 35 in Wall, New Jersey is an authentic car-service drive-in that serves up all the expected fare for such an eatery. However, they are also known for their crabcake sandwiches as it is located "down the shore." These tasty sandwiches were recently featured on the Food Network. This drive-in is only open during the warmer months, so fans will need to wait until this coming March. Until then, we wait...

Bronto Burger

Bronto Burger

This is one of the two large dinosaurs visible from the road in Cabazon, California. The companion to this brontosaurus is a T-Rex (also posted). The pictured dinosaur has a touristy gift store in its belly. Well worth the visit... Definitely a unique roadside attraction!

T-Rex in Cabazon

T-Rex in Cabazon

What collection of roadside attractions would be complete without an image from the land of the dinosaurs, Cabazon, California? It's a great time for the kids and amazing to the adults to see life-sized concrete dinosaurs at this famous rest stop on Interstate 10.

The variety of plant life in the desert at Joshua Tree National Park is impressive. It's a photographer's paradise that can provide unique perspectives from almost any angle...

Oasis

Oasis

Go to a desert... Need to find an oasis. Joshua Tree National Park does not disappoint in this regard. The lush plant life in this oasis give you a chance to see the natural splendor of palms that have not been subjected to all the pruning that we have become used to seeing at most warm resorts around the world.

Alone

Alone

Want to get away from it all? Joshua Tree National Park has many isolated areas that give a sense of being in another world. (Of course, I was not too far behind my son...)

The Joshua Tree

The Joshua Tree

Of course, no visit to Joshua Tree National Park would be complete without taking the time to spend some time admiring the namesake of the park. The landscape and unique vegitation makes you truly feel as though you are visiting another world.

Skull Rock

Skull Rock

Skull Rock, found in Joshua Tree National Park near 29 Palms, California is an impressive stop for those that venture into the park. The other worldly formations are something to behold as you travel the place where "the streets have no names." (Thank you to U-2 from providing some perfect travel music!)
