The Stone Pony
The Stone Pony is in its third incarnation in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Originally opened in 1974, groups that played in the earlier years included Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Patti Scialfa, and Cats on a Smooth Surface.
Oh yes... Bruce Springsteen also used to play there from time to time. Of note, the Born in the USA tour kicked off at the Stone Pony. As for the album "Greetings from Asbury Park," it came out in early 1973, about a year before the Pony's opening.
Today, the Stone Pony continues to rock in Asbury Park, New Jersey!

Saltsman's
Saltsman's Restaurant occupies the historic Saltsman's Hotel (circa 1903) in Ephrata, New York of Fulton County. Located in the Adirondacks, this hotel was once a destination for then-Governor Franklin Delano Roosevelt. This seasonal establishment, run by Jim and Tammy Subick, offers a familly-style fare passed down from the previous owners. Among the favorites are the succulent veal and fried chicken, all served family style. While waiting for your table you can also enjoy an expertly prepared beveraqe in their vintage bar. They are also known for using Kennedy half dollars for change...

On the Edge Once More...
There are many vistas to admire along the many path on the ground of the Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, New York located in the Catskill Mountains. This lone tree "on the edge" seemed to have become one with the fence along the path.
