These two cooperative models, with their beautiful dresses blowing in the wind, have a wonderful view of the town of Oia on the island of Santorini, one of the Cycladic islands of Greece. The iconic blue church domes were behind me when I shot this in June, 2008.

Holkham Beach, Norfolk, UK

The Vikings sailed up a creek through the saltmarshes during the first millennium and built a fort at a place they called Holkham ('ship town' in Danish) -now more often visited by Anglo-Saxons on horseback.
These expansive tidal flats and the salt marshes are part of the Holkham National Nature Reserve.
