St Christopher

St Christopher

Christopher has always been a widely popular saint, being especially revered by mariners, ferrymen, and travelers. However, in 1969 he was decannonized following an investigation in the validity of his faith.

This statue can be found along Charles Bridge in the centre of Prague, Czech Republic. In the background is the Petrin Tower.

Jasper Carrott Star

Jasper Carrott Star

Comedian Jasper Carrott honoured on Birmingham's Hollywood-style Walk of Stars.

He was given the award by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham on the main stage in Centenary Square, as part of Saturday evening's ArtsFest entertainment.

His star is set in concrete on Broad Street, just outside the Old Orleans restuarant.

He's the second celebrity to be honoured on Birmingham's Walk of Stars. In July Ozzy Osbourne (originally from Aston) became the first person to be honoured.

Ozzy Osbourne Star

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne was the first person to be honoured on Birmingham's new Walk of Stars.

He received his own brass star, similar to those on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, on Broad Street, the city's main entertainment area.

The brass stars will form a pavement trail along Broad Street.

Ozzy's induction took place on the same day, 6 July, as his concert at the city's National Indoor Arena.

The Grey Rock in the Wood

The Grey Rock in the Wood

St Michael's Mount is a lofty tidal island, rising 400 yards from the shore of Mount's Bay, situated in Penwith in west Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is united with Marazion by a natural causeway cast up by the sea and passable only at low tide.

I have used the literal translation of it's Cornish name, Carrack Looz en Cooz, for my picture's title.
