Christmas Lights

Christmas Lights

The Christmas lights of the Cornish fishing village of Mousehole are pretty well known. These are the lights around the harbour in 2007.

Natural History Museum

Natural History Museum

The great entrance hall of the Natural History Museum. I love the way that the lines and arches work in tandem to create a sense of space.

The Great Court

The Great Court

The old British Library Reading Room is at the heart of the British Museum and the centrepiece of the redesigned and covered Great Court that was formally opened in 2000.
It's not an 'art gallery', but it is home to an amazing array of art from many cultures and eras. My personal favourite are the galleries containing the friezes and sculpture from the ancient world. Whatever the ethics of the Elgin Marbles being here, you can't deny they are beautifully displayed.

Godrevy Lighthouse

Godrevy Lighthouse

This photo of the Hayle Beach and Godrevy Lighthouse - which is at the far end of the beach - was taken from across the estuary.
