This bridge was orginally the only way to get to Catoosa Wildlife Preserve located 15 miles out of Wartburg. It spans across Clear Creak as a foot bridge now.
This is rush-hour in Russellville, KY.
A slow, peaceful walk through the Great Smoky Mountains is my favorite way to travel. This Picture was taken on an 8 mile round trip hike, 2,000 ft in elevation to a place called Ramsey's Cascades. Found in the old Greenbier Community - settlers left long ago. The first half of the trail is an old road bed and then turns into a goat path just past the first foot bridge (made of just one split tree with a rail).
