In North Carolina, but wishes she were traveling.
I teach and find renewal in travel, but my budget usually wrecks my aspirations, so (Can you hear me sigh?), I'm searching for outside the box ways to get me out of my little box in Raleigh, NC. I like my little Raleigh box, but when I travel I feel my finger on the pulse of the world, I am moved by the commonality of human experience, my heart beats faster, my mind is enlivened, and my soul is fed. In 2006 I went to Rome, Italy; Ethiopia and Kenya, but my obsession became exaggerated not sate

I am a former- and future-Tokyoite, and a designer here at Everywhere. I think that no city is too big, no coffee is too cold, and no music is too minimal. I have a particular fondness for bourbon, uneven numbers, and taking photos of power lines.

I am the Managing Editor of TravelLady Magazine. I've been a travel writer for over 10 years and was a commercial photographer in Dallas for 25 years before that. Travel photography is what I really love and I'll go anywhere and do anything for a good photo op.

I am "dad" to my children, and a slew of other things to my wife, relatives and friends. To the rest of the world, I'm a communications consultant with a background in magazine publishing. I've served as art director on more than a dozen national and international magazine titles, and my photos have appeared on more than 40 covers (photos BY me, not OF me). I've also worked as a writer and as an editor. Favorite things? Family, friends, music, laughter, good food, fine wine, and—of course—travel

I am a keen amateur photographer living in South Florida. I love to travel and document my journeys using my camera. I'm very fortunate in that I travel all over the US on business, and occasionally to Europe too.

I am not sure of how to travel; when I go somewhere new, I usually do a bit of aimless wandering to figure out what it's like to be a local, hang out in the neighborhood where I'm staying, maybe visit a couple of interesting locales I read about or had recommended. Once I'm comfortable there, then I can play tourist. I'm also this site's resident web developer, hey there!
