Foggy Sunrise

Foggy Sunrise

While most people happen to catch sunsets daily, one of my favorite things to do at the Jersey Shore is to wake up bright and early for a sunrise. This photo shows sunrise in Ocean City; Atlantic City in the distance shrouded in fog. Sitting in an empty lifeguard stand is a perfect spot to watch the waves carry early morning surfers closer to shore, as surfing a popular activity in OC.

Light Through Yonder Redwood Breaks

Muir Woods National Monument is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in California. Exploring through a forest of giant Coast Redwoods with only scattered rays of sunlight is an incredible sight. The trees extended upward, out of the mist, for what seems like forever leaving me to feel no bigger than an insect. I could have explored Muir Woods for days but unfortunately I had to leave. But I will never forget the humbling feeling I got when staring up at these beautiful, old trees.
