After a four mile hike inland, the jungles of Kauai revealed a mile-long tunnel. Aided by a flashlight, my brother and I waded ankle-deep through the abandoned surprise, snapping this shot several yards from the exit.

My brother makes his way out of a Bamboo grove during an excursion into the jungles of Kauai. Being Texans and enjoying backpacking, the massive landscape within a warm coastal climate was a big plus.
