At one of my favorite restaurants, Don Pedro, at San German, Puerto Rico.
it is open all week. The have meats, poultry and the sea food is great. An excellent wine selection and on top of that, for lunch on weekdays, the offer typical "boricua"food like arroz mamposteao, bacalao copn viandas and filete encebollado con arroz y habichuelas.

This is the sugar mill. Erected in 1871 it was used probably until mid XX c. The construction is typical of the buildings of the day that house sugar processing mill.
Thers is a possibility that at one time it housed also a school.

This is the family residence of the Quilinchini family.
Of Corsican descent, the established in Puerto Rico in the early 1800's. The lady of the house claims that the brick foundation of the house is more than 300 years old. The jry is still out on this one.
It is an example of classic architecture of the tropics in the XIX c.

Galib's Residence

The parents of Mr. Galib came from Lebanon and settled in San German, Puerto Rico. His mother, Salome, sold jewelry door to door. In those days the made enough to send his son Hamid to college.
He became a prominent lawyer and embraced the cause of independence.
His son Yamil is a prominent physician and a well know poet.
This house was built by Mr. Hamid. His parents basked in the glory that all the sacrifices immigrants make to seek a better life, payed at the end, at least for them.

I am psychiatrist. I get paid to listen to people all day. I love it. I guess I'm some kind of voyeur. Photography is perfect for me.
I fell in love with it since college but never had the time to really invest in it. To busy studying and working. Now the kids are a little older, and even though I have to work my ass off I can't postpone it anymore. So I guess this is it. I'm relatively new in this.
