The surly buffalo of the National Bison Refuge head over and out of our way, towards the heat of the sun and the lack of wind on the other side of this mountain.

Serene mountain settings get weird quick at the National Bison Refuge in Montana
Our surly buffalo friend at the National Bison Refuge who'd rather lay in the street than all the comfortable grass around his 100 year old refuge home.
One of the close to 500 Bison in the National Bison Refuge outside of Missoula, Montana snacks on some grass while the Rocky Mountains sit in the distance. The refuge - one of the nation's oldest - celebrates it's 100th anniversary this year.
A grist mill built by students of the Haywood Community College sits in the middle of their campus. A pristine little getaway to check out hidden back in the Blue Ridge mountains.
The Georgia Aquarium is a magnificent structure in downtown Atlanta and is home to the largest indoor aquarium in the world. As I stood by the glass, these jellyfish eased over gracefully, letting me get a shot off before dispersing far back into their seemingly endless deep blue home.
Irony abounds as U.S. Border Patrol survey Falcon Lake in Zapata, Texas in their "catch release" boat while a bass fishing tournament's Catch and Release vessel (completely different kind) sits idly by - also waiting for it's bounty of the day.
Ten miles out of Mexico in San Ygnacio, Texas - I came across something that made us nearly run off the road. After driving through the desert, and being not just a little bit thirsty, the site of six (there are three on the other side and you drive through the middle of them, just trust me) fifteen foot tall beer cans made us all salivate accordingly.
Too bad it was on a Sunday, and beer is not for sale.
