Almonds Blossoms Along the Way
The quaint wine village of Gimmeldingen along the German Wine Route each year has an amazing display of Almond blossoms. Their festival, located on the top of a gently sloping vineyard hillside surrounded by the the blush pink of blooming Almond trees, serves nothing but cake and coffee...but what a sight to behold.

Absolutely Delicious
Travel can be difficult if you have food allergies, but I have discovered if you ask with a genuine smile and interest...and explain your questions are due to allergy...most places are happy to help find you the right meal for you.
This day in Oberammagau Germany, we stopped in what looked like a meat and gourmet shop, but I asked if it might be possible to get a plate of antipasto. The woman smiled and said "Not a problem" there was even a small table upstairs where we could eat. My husband had the amazing sandwich while I had the rest....plus a fresh arugula salad
