The Murderer's Cross

These ancient stone crosses, located on the old road to Heidelberg from Ladenburg, tell a great story. Legend has it that a newly wed couple were making their way to Ladenburg when they were way laid by a robber who murdered the young married couple. The story continues that the murderer was captured and killed and that is why there is a third cross but in the front of the murderer's cross is etched a knife.
