When arriving in Montreal by air you might get lucky with your approach to Trudeau Airport and fly right past the downtown core. From that perspective you can view Mont Royal, downtown itself, Old Montreal and the port. It's quite a spectacular view especially in the Autumn like in this photo.
Chicago's silver jelly bean, the Cloud Gate sits in Millennium Park in the downtown core. It's beautifully seamless mirrored coating reflects back the life around it to all those mesmerized my it's attractive beauty.. the city skyline too is nicely represented at anytime of the day. It's a must see for every visitor to the city.
One of Chicago's most interesting outdoor attractions is the "Cloud Gate" in Millennium Park... also affectionately known as The Bean (or Jelly Bean).... a seemingly seamless mirror that reflects the city skyline and everyone looking at and under it.. spectacular at anytime of the day and a must see when in this incredibly beautiful city.
Montreal's comedy festival held every July closes of major streets to let comedic acts, buskers, unusual props and other funny things that make a stroll along one of the streets an unusual experience! These folks took a break in a roadside chair...
Casa Milà, or La Pedrera, is another Antoni Gaudi masterpiece. Nothing is in a straight line on this 1906 built building (yes 1906!)... unusual balconies, odd floor plans, natural light coming to every room, circular inner court yards and a roof top terrace that you absolutely must see makes this a Barcelona landmark that can't be ignored by anyone coming to this amazing city.
Traveling in today's world can often be challenging. When we sit back and take a breath and look at the marvelous machines that take us high in the sky we sometimes lose site of the beauty of it all. These three striking tails of Northwest Airline's A330s at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam reminds us how in the thick of it all there is still something amazing to see and admire.
Some of the vibrant activity on the apron at Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam. An incredible airport with an impressive list of airlines serving it from all over the world.
Gaudi's imaginative artistic approach to architecture is reflected in his buildings at Parc Guell's entrance... Barcelona's pretty skyline reaching to the Mediterranean Sea acts as the perfect backdrop.
There's something special about the Mediterranean life style... anyplace can be a good place to take a little snooze like this guy down on the wharf at Barcelona's waterfront.
It's hard to believe but this room was designed by Gaudi at the turn of the 20th centruy... it looks like something out of the 21st century.. one of the most interesting places I've ever been.. a must see in Barcelona!

I am just an amature photographer enamored with certain things in life. I love to travel and photograph cities. Airplanes are a passion and I can easily spend a day at a large airport photographing their comings and goings. I live in North America but my heart beats in Europe. There are wonders to see on both continents. Beautiful buildings too amaze me, old and new as do people from all over the world. I'm hoping some day to go to Africa, Asia and South America and bring their worlds into mine.
