Walking back along the Thames River with some of my best friends after being away from London for 3 years was a highly enjoyable experience. It was a very nice night to be shooting some night shots as well.
Quite an enjoyable little staircase at the Vatican Museum.
The Waimea pier juts out into the murky waters of the Pacific on the southern shore of Kauai. The water is full of sediment along the shore deposited by the nearby Waimea River.
Tate Modern and Millennium Bridge as seen from the North side of the Thames
This installation appeared in the Tate Modern in London in 2004. It was actually a half sun, with a false reflective ceiling creating the other half of the sun. It drew all sorts of people into the museum, not just artsy types. People basked in it's light on the lower floor as though it were a real sun. The Tate Modern always has innovative installations which invite people in to explore and interact with the art.

Wandering randomly into a church in Rome, Italy led me to a religious experience I won't soon forget.
I had never seen a rainbow on water like this before. We stopped for lunch during a hard day of hiking along the Kalalau Trail and this slowly formed as we ate our peanut butter sandwiches. Not a bad lunch time show.
The beach was empty as caution tape had been put up a few days earlier because of the very dangerous surf. The lifeguards had not "gotten around" to taking it down but it was perfectly safe. So we ducked under the tape and headed east along this most famous of surfing locales, the Bonzai Pipeline on Oahu's North shore. The weather was gorgeous and we spent a couple hours there dividing our time between basking in the sun and sitting on the edge of the ocean, letting the waves roll over us.
This is a tree chock full of shoes located along Highway 20 in Oregon near Juntura. I saw it while I headed East back to my family in Northwest Indiana from my current home in Bend, Oregon. I will be on look out for more of these trees in case they become an invasive species.
