Photo was captured on a beautiful sunny summer afternoon in June of 2006 from the top of Marinkovac island. View spreads north over uvala Zdrilca (Zdrilca bay) to the island of Hvar. Massive deforestation caused by a fire several years earlier is visible adjacent to the outskirts of town of Hvar.
Zdrilca bay is used by many sailors as it is one of the most peaceful natural ports nearby. Top of the island is accessible from the Cafe Bar Mlini, just a 5 minute hike up the hill through a olive tree grove.

On any given summer day you can see some magnificent yachts moored in port.
