I had never realized that I was destined to be a photographer until one Christmas a dear friend gave me my first camera, a Canon SLR. When I asked why he had chosen a camera as my gift, he replied, "Whenever we're out someplace, you always say, "I wish I had a camera; that would make a great picture." I had never realized my desire to take photographs before that moment. Today, I couldn't imagine my life without a camera in hand.

I am a Practitioner in Health & Social Care with the NHS, and live in Cambridge, England beside the River Cam. I have always enjoyed things artistic; Amateur Theatre, Dance, Singing, Guitar and Piano. In 1999 I studied with a Melbourne-based Potter and learnt to make real things out of raw clay. I have created some interesting porcelain 'objets'. I have also produced works in Mosaic. Photography has been a hobby of mine since I got my first 'Brownie' Kodak camera when I was 6 years old.
