TIERRA DEL FUEGO. CHILE.
With different tasks every day and with no schedule, the shepherds always arrive on time at the dinning–kitchen room to eat, 5 times a day, the principal plate along all Tierra del Fuego: the lamb.

Tierra del Fuego, a vast island that begins in the Magallanes strait and ends in the antartic chilean province. 180 kms from Porvenir, the main city of Tierra del Fuego theres a little shepherd village call Russfin.

Crossing the Magallanes strait, 3 hours in a ship and then 3 more hours in a little compact car of the 80´s, I arrived to Russfin (180 kms from "Porvenir", the main city of Tierra del Fuego), a little village with no more of 20 inhabitants, mostly shepherds, no women and 3000 sheeps.

I´m a chilean photographer lives in Santiago. In the last two years I made many photo essays, mostly here in Chile. I ve been work with the sheep shepherds in tierra del fuego, in emergency rooms in Santiago, with a mentally handicapped theater company, among others. Also I spent some time in Bolivia walk around the Uyuni salt flat, the Potosi silver mines and visit some places in Cochabamba.
