A view of the North Arm of Great Slave Lake as taken from the pristine little park known as North Arm Territorial Park. This little of piece of paradise was a pleasant surprise for us as we drove along Highway 3 past Edzo and Rae.

Roadside Bison uploaded on 29 July 2008

We encountered this massive creature just outside the town of Edzo, Northwest Territories. It's a northern Bison and they just find a piece of wet earth, dig it up a little, and plunk themselves down to cool off for the afternoon! Quite an amazing sight to drive alongside this animal while it's grazing.

This photo was taken at the North Arm Territorial Park in the Northwest Territories. It's about a 1 hr drive southwest of Yellowknife along Highway 3.

For a sub-arctic region, this is a phenominal little piece of Paradise on the North Arm of Great Slave Lake.
