A sailboat near the Newburgh Beacon Bridge, which, not surprisingly, connects Newbugh on the western shore with Beacon on the eastern shore. The roadway is about 150 feet above the river.
The River Rose, a sternwheel paddle boat, heads downriver with Bannaerman Castle in the background. The River Rose also provides tour and party services.

On the west side of the Hudson River this mountain is home to eagles, and a nearby art center. The cut about halfway up the mountain is Rt 218, which connects Cornwall with West Point, and is often closed due to rockslides.
Pleasure boater heading north - the Hudson River is a favorite for boating and other activities. In the background, the stone structure is part of the Catskill Aqueduct, a system that supplies water (at the rousing speed of 4 miles per hour!) to the city of New York.
Built on an island, this was the residence of the Bannerman Family. There are specific tours around, and also to the island. Hoipefully, it can be restored to the point that the structure can be visited.
