The 467 stairs to the top of Monmorency Falls are built precariously up the side of a steep slope and it can be a little frightening to look down, but it's well worth the climb.
The Montmorency Falls are the highest waterfalls in Canada. To get to the top, one can take the gondola, or climb the 467 stairs straight up the side of the hill. We chose the stairs.
The island is filled with little roadside cafes and stands like this one in Sainte-Famille, selling jams, pie, ice cream, produce, and maple syrup.
