The houses

The houses

A stroll around a dirt path would lead to a little neighbor hood of houses. The people would smile and let you walk in their yard. Take pictures, scare their pigs, chickens and cows. And most of all give the children a fright.

The Sunsets

The Sunsets

As the sunset you could lay out on a towel and get an hour and half massage for three dollars. Watch the sunset and the giant bats swoop above head in the palm trees.

Room with a view

Room with a view

We stayed at genesis divers beach house. It is a hut style place, with room for six dollars a night, and views like this.

The Ferry Ride

The Ferry Ride

This was the boat ride from Cebu to Tagbilaran. The Sunrise lent to a beautiful Rainbow.

Panglao

Panglao

This is the church at the Panglao elementary school. This is in the Philippines in the Visayas. There were swarms of teenagers walking around with wooden shotguns. They have to keep these on them at all times as a form of gun handling training. It was interesting and slightly unsettling.

First morning

First morning

I flew into Cebu city at 2 in the morning, and killed the four hour wait for the ferry in the bar, when I got closer to Bohol this was the scene off the back of the boat, the first beautiful morning to what was an even greater trip.

I am a traveler. I have been on the go since I was a young child. I have spent much of my life in one place or another. I lived in the same house from birth till 18, my parents still live there, it almost burnt down. I have set foot on many countries, but not many at one time. I read "on the road" when I was a junior in college, and have forever since been bit by that mischievous little bug that poisons you, so that you are never satisfied with where you are at, and always miss where...
