Mister Boatman

Small outrigger boats take you from island to island as you go around El Nido.

Island Sunset

Island Sunset

If you're looking for the ultimate sunset, nothing beats waiting for it at Pangulasian Island. Order a fruit shake from the bar, kick back, relax, and watch the sun set with a blaze of red and orange. If you're lucky, there'll be some acoustic jamming and dancing while you're waiting.

One of the many outrigger boats you'll see around Bacuit Bay.

Clark Quay, named after Andrew Clark, the second governor of Singapore, is home to numerous popular bars, restaurants, and a lively nightlife. Sip a cocktail as you watch small bumpboats make their way down the Singapore river.

Heading for Home

Heading for Home

A newly hatched hawksbill sea turtle starts heading for home.

The hawksbill sea turtle is one of five species of sea turtles found in Bacuit Bay in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines. It can be identified by the serrated edge of the carapace and the hooked jaw that resembles a hawk's bill. It is the most endangered sea turtle and is the source of "tortoiseshell", which is used in making sunglasses, hair ornaments, and guitar picks.

7 Commandos is one of the numerous beaches you can visit during your stay in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines. Just hire a boat for the day and it can either wait for you or drop you off and come back later. Lunch can be included in the package price.

The limestone cliffs lord over El Nido, including this relatively large outrigger boat.

Relatively speaking, the speedboat is the fastest way of getting around the islands. Though Miniloc Island looks so close when viewed from Lagen, the trip via speedboat still takes 15 minutes.

Sea Slugs

Sea Slugs

In my opinion, the best restaurant in El Nido Town. A word to the hungry: drop by to pre-order your meal. Otherwise, you're in for an hour-long (or more!) wait for their classic mackerel with lemon butter sauce even if you're the only ones there.
