The land of the Ohlones and other Indian tribes, is now the famed Bay area. SF's fascinating origins, came to me one morning when I walked into Mission Dolores! Interestingly, the master of suspense Hitchcock used the place for his classic movie, VERTIGO!

Old as time, the Tuscan region in Italy has many stories to tell. One that holds visitiors, awestruck, is the centuries old skyscrapers in the walled city of San Gimignano. Its New York, New York! Except that the Big Apple came later. Much later.

Alcatraz the dreaded penitentiary is today one of San Francisco's most popular tourist sites. There was a time though when no one wanted to go there. What was life back then with Capone et al? The writer describes his visit...and feels reassured with a return ticket!

I like music - from smooth jazz to the Beatles/Cold Play to the Classics.
I am into yoga, golf, cinema, reading...
