Janis’ travelogue

Camp Tracy

Camp Tracy

The canyon hosts a Cub Scout Camp and a Scout Training Center. This 'creek' runs to the north of the camps.

October Snow

October Snow

The canyon has 4 definite seasons. This was late October and the canyon had not yet been closed. We were bundled and waiting for the next storm.

The Hand

The Hand

Rocks on the north side of the road, west of the rest stop.

Hippo Mouth

Hippo Mouth

The rocks in this canyon seem to take on shapes of their own. It is great fun to make up animals or other images for the formations. There is a rest stop there that is a great place to stop. You will find that most of the great rocks are fenced off, but still worth the effort of seeing.

Janis RB

Janis RB has been a member since 11 November 2007 and goes by janisrb.

Currently in Utah.

I am a fanatic. I really like to take photographs. I search for places close to my home for subjects, but do go to national parks and other fun natural places.

I have also started posting from the local zoos. I see things there I would never get to see if they were not so available.
