The Hall of a Hundred Columns in Gaudi's Park Guell, in reality, holds only 84 columns. The giant mosaics on the ceiling were made by Jujol and reflect the influence of nature in Gaudi's designs.

I sent this photo as a Christmas card to my family while I was studying in Spain. It is one of the few that actually has me in it. It's fitting since this is one of my favorite spots in all of Barcelona. Park Guell is one of Antonio Gaudi's many master pieces. The colorful mosaics and beautiful view draw thousands of visitors a year.

Sitting at the center of the stairs at the entrance to Park Guell sits the famous lizard/ dragon/ salamander. This beautifully mosaicked statue is a fully functioning fountain.

The originality of the street performers on Barcelona's Las Ramblas draw large crowds.
Crowds gather to watch Font Magica, outside of the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the Olympic Stadium. The fountain show is synchronized to classical music and held summer evenings.
Montjuic and the fountains outside Barcelona's Olympic Stadium.
I took this shot from the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (National Art Museum of Catalonia) where you can see Font Magica and MontJuic which looks down on Barcelona. I came upon this site completely by accident and had no idea about the beautiful fountains there.
Barcelona alleyways are a colorful, welcoming labyrinth.
Tourists and locals cram into Angkor Wat's outer gate to escape a sudden downpour.
Crowds cheer and jump for beads as floats pass by during the Krew D'Etat Marti Gras parade in uptown New Orleans.
