This was my mother's first visit to Coney Island. She is just a country girl from East Tennessee.
Taken May 2007
This was taken last May (07) at Coney Island. Coney Island has undergone some changes since then but I believe the Wonder Wheel, Cyclone and Parachute Drop have been preserved. Coney Island is what I like to call Ghetto Chic... nothing like a Nathan's hotdog and a stroll on the boardwalk.
I wonder what the horsepower on the ATV is?
There are still many three, four and even five children families in Broad Channel.
You have admire their passion... so much goes into the little parade and it is all for their little town.

I am a wife, a mother and a grandmother with a young and free spirit but an old soul. I see beauty all around me and like to capture it in my photographs. I do not get to travel much but when I do my camera is around my neck. I use an inexpensive Kodak digital camera but prefer to use it the old fashioned way... things look different through the lens than they do on the LCD screen.
