When you arrive in Ho Chi Minh city (formerly Saigon) the first thing you notice is
that the “Two Wheeler” is king here. Whether it’s a bicycle, a motorcycle or a scooter, this is the transportation of the masses. I have encountered this phenomenon before, but never have I witnessed the sheer density and the absolute numbers that exist here.

This has obviously turned into big business, and there are multiple bike rental companies eager and ready to outfit you with your choice. Although I forget their names, these two young men were very excited to get me going. We had quite a few laughs over the couple of weeks I spent in the area, as I switched frequently between a bicycle and a scooter.
