Hi, my name is Cameron Herweynen, I'm 21, living in Melbourne Australia. In 2007 I completed my Diploma of Applied Photography at NMIT Fairfield, was awarded the World Nomads Travel Photography Scholarship to the Garma Festival in Arnhemland Australia, and was a finalist in the Leica Gallery Melbourne Photography Award. I specialize in Social Documentary and Travel Photography, and am available for assignment worldwide.
In Yorkshire
After flying around the planet for far too long as the world's worst air hostess I now live in Yorkshire and take photographs.
In the SF Bay
I had never realized that I was destined to be a photographer until one Christmas a dear friend gave me my first camera, a Canon SLR. When I asked why he had chosen a camera as my gift, he replied, "Whenever we're out someplace, you always say, "I wish I had a camera; that would make a great picture." I had never realized my desire to take photographs before that moment. Today, I couldn't imagine my life without a camera in hand.
