Kibber (Kibar) village is considered (arguably) as the highest habitable place on earth at around 17000ft. Located in the deep of Spiti valley (Himachal Pradesh , India), Kibber is a perfect example of how life has been surviving in extreme inhabitable conditions. Spiti valley before its recent exposure to the modern world still used to survive on barter system as commerce. The valley is cut of from the rest of the country (India) for 6 months (Oct - May) and is accesed by some hostile terrain and non existent roads. Still its majestic beauty and splendour are a traveller's delight.
Located at an elevation of 14000ft in the deep corners of the untouched Spiti Valley (Himachal Pradesh, India), this high altitude lake is mesmerizing. Camping on a full moon night is nothing less than bliss. This lake is accessed by crossing the Kunzom Pass (4870m) through some rough terrain and non existent roads. Spiti valley was isolated by India to prserve its culture and has been recently open to tourist. A visit to this place takes you ina spiritual realm wher one experiences unmatched calm and peace.
