Sacred Ibis

Sacred Ibis

A lone Sacred Ibis captured at dusk in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia. This was taken on high speed 3200 ISO Kodak film during a nighttime game drive.

South Luangwa National Park has been dubbed as one of the world's best wildlife sanctuaries with over 60 different animal species and over 400 bird species. Along with regular daytime safaris in vehicles, visitors can also experience a walking safari (accompanied by armed guards, of course!) and night drives in the hopes of spotting a leopard or other nocturnal animals.

Alcazar Baths

Alcazar Baths

This royal bath was in a dingy basement in the Alcazar and had to be viewed through a barred gate. The lighting was very dim so I had to set my camera very precariously on a ledge to capture this long exposure. The vaulted ceilings mirror beautifully against the sheet of still water below.

Twilight Taps

Twilight Taps

The view through our hotel window in Brighton Beach showcases some typical English "Georgian Terrace" architecture. This style emerged as a result of a boom in urban growth settlement during the 18th century and arose from the need to build housing into more compact building structures.

This shot is taken from our room in The Brighton Marina House Hotel, located on Charlotte Street. It is a convenient location just a short jaunt from the Brighton Pier and within walking distance from other major attractions like the Royal Pavilion, the Brighton Museum & Art Gallery and The Lanes.

I seem to find my greatest inspiration for photography while travelling. Sunlight seems to fall to earth in a different manner in other countries - sometimes warmer, sometimes quieter, sometimes with a vengeance, but always with a fresh perspective.
