Driving north on Interstate 35 in northern Iowa, USA after an ice storm.
The Agate Bay harbor breakwater extends several hundred meters into Lake Superior in Two Harbors, MN and provides one of the most dramatic and accessible views to be had of Lake Superior along Minnesota's "North Shore". An especially thrilling experience is to boldly walk out during the beginnings of a storm and to experience the power of the lake first hand.

Founded in 1963, the Guthrie Theater is one of the premier centers for the performing arts in the United States. In 2006, the theater moved to its new Jean Nouvel designed facility, located directly on the Mississippi river. Containing three stages, including the McGuire Proscenium, Dowling Studio and the Guthrie's signature Wurtele Thrust Stage, the theater plays host to a wide variety of productions throughout the year.
More than just a theater however, the Guthrie is very much a public building and contains restaurants, cocktail lounges and several stunning views of the riverfront and downtown Minneapolis.
