Halong Bay, in the north of Vietnam, brings in hundreds of tourists a day. A tour on a junk boat through the bay can be overwhelming and crowded. If you stay for an extra day you'll be taken to Cat Ba Island for a more peaceful intimate experience with the people and the land.
