Sebilj Square at Dusk

Sebilj Square at Dusk

Sarajevo's famous pigeon square in Old Town. We were in the city during Ramadan. At dusk each night the muezzin's call to prayer filled the air and the many minarets were lighted at once, twinkling against the hillsides.

Sarajevo Rose

Sarajevo Rose

The narrow streets and alleyways of Sarajevo crisscross the steep hills that surround the city. It's easy to get lost, but it's also great to wander aimlessly. In the autumn, roses were everywhere, people obviously taking great pride in their small gardens.

Across the Valley

Across the Valley

A view across the valley from high in the hills of Sarajevo. Walkers in the city definitely get their exercise.

Clouds in the Valley
